Koenigsegg has been hard at work this year, creating a car that can travel faster than any car created before it. The brand new Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut boasts a previously unattainable car speed of 310+ MPH and is all set to dethrone both its predecessor Koenigsegg Jesko as well as the regning champion Bugatti Chiron Super Sport with 300+ MPH.

According to the founder and CEO of  Koenigsegg, Christian von Koenigsegg, “the name Absolut comes from the fact that this is the absolute fastest Koenigsegg that we will ever make”. Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has a ridiculously powerful 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 1600 horsepower on E85 fuel. The Jesko’s engine, one of the greatest feat of engineering, features the world’s lightest V8  flywheel and connects it to a nine-speed multi-clutch transmission. Additionally, the Jesko’s V8 is also officially the world’s fastest-revving production car engine capable of hitting an unbelievable rate of 46,000 RPM per second. What this all means is that the performance will be 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds with a theoretical top speed of 330 mph, as per the virtual simulations ran by Koenigsegg.

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has a flat-plane-crank 5.1-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 1,578bhp and 1,106lb ft of torque, can rev from idle to 8,500rpm in 0.2 seconds and is able to hit 62mph from rest in around 2.5 seconds and top out on the scary side of 310mph. All though this is all according to the simulators as of now, since nobody has actually tested it out on the roads yet.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut as expected comes at the price of  a staggering $3,419,000, making it one of the most expensive cars ever built. Although, when you sit inside the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, you might find out that the $3 million spent was well worth every penny. Premium Materials like Carbon Fibre, Aluminium and Leather are generously used across this car. It even comes with detachable rooftop for fresh air.
